In this section, I will list important terms and context that will help you understand OC backstories better. If there are still unclear things, please message me and I'll make sure to add it here.
Firstly, I will introduce the concept of SOULS and their importance:Souls, in this multiverse, are a "entity" that resides within living and non-living things (an important distinction is that while all living things are born with souls, NON-LIVING things can EARN or ACHEIVE a soul through truly understanding and "assimilating" into pseudo-living things (note: this only applies to entities with sentience).
Souls also have different "status" , as I will list and rank here from least "respected" to most:Fallen Souls
These souls are essentially "sinners" or people who's souls are stained through a severe mistake or intentional harm. Though unlike "sinners" in real-life religions, the rules for Fallen Souls are much more lax. For example, you won't become a fallen soul from simply not following some vague scripture. BUT, you WILL become a Fallen Soul for committing genocide though. Fallen Souls have a special place, as their stain prevents them from going into the afterlife, they spend eternity in a nothing. A void. Though, a "Higher Power" has the ability to pluck these souls and USE them as pawns for their own deeds, whatever they may be. While Fallen, these souls can be "killed" in which they return to the void to await being picked out once more (which usually, never happens).Middle Souls
These souls are the souls of your average person. Every decent person will usually end up a Middle Soul when death arrives. Once they die, these souls will simply pass onto their afterlife peacefully. They cannot be controlled by Higher Powers or anything else. Every afterlife is different, changing to whatever that person desired most before their death. Soul's of families, loved ones, friends, etc. are not separated, instead forming a sort of "colony" of souls where their afterlives can intertwine. Those in the afterlife do indeed know they are dead. The souls remain there, untouchable, until existence itself comes to an end.Wandering Souls
Wandering Souls are simply Fallen Souls who have "ascended" in some way. These ascensions usually come in one of 2 forms. Either the person has accomplished a deed equal of that to their immoral one, and their stain is washed away; OR the Fallen Souls acquires a "Singularity" with the ability to grant them ascension. Once a Fallen Soul reaches ascension, they are given the choice to become a Middle Soul and pass onto their afterlife OR to wander around as a soul that is unable to be touched by Higher Powers (though in Wandering Soul form, the can be "killed" in which they are returned to the void as a Fallen Soul).Higher Powers
Higher Powers are more entities than souls, that have the ability to command souls in whichever way they wish. They are equivalent to Gods, nigh-invulnerable and unstoppable with almost infinite power (though it is important to note they are not omnipresent or omnipotent, having the same limitations as anyone else when knowing things). How these souls come to be is unclear, but it is theorized their power can be acquired through "singularities". If one of these souls actually does manage to die, their soul simply vanishes. It is not known where it goes, but it is believed it travels to a void, a space, beyond existence itself.
VocabularySingularity
Singularities are items or entities in the Multiverse that do no replicate in any shape, way, or form. Usually, everything has a "variant" in other Universes, across the Multiverse. Singularities are just as they sound, singular. There is only one of them, and they have the special property of teleporting across Universes. These entities are denoted by their great power. A good example is The Heart, which is a red orb of pure power. It grants anyone who wields it extraordinary power, hence its status as a singularity.

TiirgĂ (Ty)
Born in Ancient Sumer, TiirgĂ was a natural warrior from birth. Since he was born poor and treated that way, he was raised to fight, and die early for any reason his nation saw fit. Despite being a loyal protector of the nation, he was an outcast for his rude and hostile demeanor. His temper was short and if there was a fight, Ty was probably involved. Despite all this, due to his extreme skill and expertise in combat, he was technically a high ranking individual, but due to being generally disliked by everyone (especially Ilumanada), he was forbidden from wearing gold and instead was only allowed copper or bronze. Once he died, after being cursed by the rulers of his nation making a deal with the gods, Ty was kept from the afterlife as a "Fallen Soul". Immediately, he and 3 of his peers were plucked from the void by a higher being, deeming them Protectors of The Multiverse. While not necessarily clear on what they should be doing, eventually the group began to realize their goal was to protect dangerous, reality affecting items from falling into the wrong hands, as it threatened the Multiverse as a whole. During one of these missions, Ty was left behind trapped in a slumber/paralysis. The group, decided then and there to disband, as it had become too dangerous for them to continue. The two women of the group stayed together and left, while Ty's other teammate left him behind, on purpose. After thousands of years, Ty awoke to realize he was the last protector on duty left. And as the last protector, he was tasked from protecting a sacred item: The Heart. He knew he needed to do this, as a born warrior, his duty was to protect.

Traits: Logical, Apathetic, Manipulative

Illumanada (Mana)
Born in Ancient Sumeria, same as Meshen and the rest of the team, Alad was born into a family of nobles. Basically royalty in the nation, he did not have to experience the same conditions as Meshen or Dari. Though he can fight, and is exceptionally gifted, his true talents shine through in intellect, tactics, and strategy. He's a scholar at heart, and an expert tactician/strategist, which is what earned him the eye of the gods. His fame grew and grew in the kingdom, with his charisma and charm allowing him to enter any social circle he wanted. His military prowess definitely helped as well. Eventually, Alad would meet the rest of the team, disliking Meshen and his attitude immediately. The hotheaded and disrespectful soldier would often earn the scorn of Alad, making them butt heads often. He respected Dari more, as she was equal and arguably a better warrior then Meshen, but with a more respectful and palatable attitude. Kuliana and him would grow close, forming a sibling bond. Though whether the bond is real on Alad's part is up to debate. After death, Alad was rightfully categorized as a Fallen Soul, considering his life was full of lies and hidden scandals. Though due to his mind, the same Higher Power that chose Meshen had chosen him to be a Protector. Though he helped on the team, he continued to butt heads with everyone, as his apathy to everything bothered the rest of the team. Alad was the one to break up the team at Meshen's paralysis, and he was the one who abandoned him while having the power to help.

Traits: Calm, Focused, Aloof

Dari
Born in Ancient Sumeria, just as everyone else, Dari had a similar upbringing as Meshen. She was born poor, had the added weight of being born a woman in a society where women were treated as less than equals in just about every way. While Meshen, while definitely skilled and a good fighter, gained his "fame" pretty easily; Dari fought her way through the ranks to become just as recognized. She was an exception, into the armies of Sumeria as women soldier were unheard of. After demonstrations, the rulers of Sumeria saw that not using Dari's skill would be a waste. She and Meshen developed a friendly rivalry, seeing each other as equals though Meshen's short temper and over emotional demeanor could get on Dari's nerves. While Alad respected her, Dari did not reciprocate. She always felt a bad energy from him, and saw through most, if not all, of his lies. Dari kept her mouth shut and her words polite with him though, any outburst and someone of his status could easily get her thrown out. With Kuliana, the relationship was always odd, but in a good way. A relationship between the two would never work, Dari believed, therefore (WIP)
